Jamaica is where my family’s story began—where the values of faith, resilience, and community were first instilled in my mother and passed down to me.
When Hurricane Melissa struck, I wasn’t a distant observer; I was there—living through the loss, fear, and uncertainty alongside my family. What was meant to be a short trip to lay my uncle to rest became an experience that forever changed how I view life, purpose, and gratitude.
While my family and I were fortunate to make it through safely, many others were not as lucky. Entire communities were left without homes, power, or even basic necessities. Yet, amid the devastation, I witnessed something extraordinary—the unbreakable spirit of the Jamaican people. Neighbors shared what little they had, lifting one another up with and compassion that no storm could destroy.
That moment became a turning point. I realized that gratitude must lead to action. From that conviction, Rebuild Jamaica Now was born—a mission to transform compassion into lasting impact and help families rebuild their lives with dignity and hope.
Through partnerships with trusted local organizations, every dollar raised goes directly toward rebuilding homes, restoring infrastructure, and supporting the people most affected by Hurricane Melissa.
Jamaica gave me a foundation of strength and fortitude. Now, I’m committed to giving back—to help restore not only buildings, but the spirit of a community that continues to inspire the world with its courage, unity, and heart.
